"It sucks being Patient Zero"

Films: Alien Hunter (2003)

Alias: None

Type: Alien

Location: Civilized Area

Height/Weight: That of an average human.

Affiliation: Neutral, leaning on Good

Summary: What better way to dispose of a carrier for a potentially catastrophic disease than to just hurdle it off into space?! And if any nosey otherworldly folk get their hands on them, just leave a message in good grace for them to not open it. Just hope they can read...

History: Somewhere in the Antarctic, a top secret government base has found a bizarre alien craft having hurdled to Earth, and are keeping it for study. Upon further inspection, they find that not only does the ship react violently when people touch it, but it has a secret message encrypted in it. Turns out, it reads "Do not open" in an alien tongue. And there's good reason why. It houses an alien carrying a lethal disease that spreads rapidly, and now the alien is awake and wandering about infecting everything!

Notable Kills: Its disease and what it does...well, just read below.

Final Fate: Just when the alien and another manage to communicate, the poor being is shot to death by an impulsive survivor. In order to prevent a pandemic, a massive portal leading to a frankly beautiful spaceship arrives and takes the survivors before a missile can do the job. Where they're going, none can say...

Powers/Abilities: This alien carries with it a disease that melts any living thing from the inside. It can also communicate via touch and telepathic imagery.

Weakness: Anything conventional.

Scariness Factor: 3-No one likes a disease carrier, especially not one so menacing-looking with a disease so thoroughly lethal. However, it seems that this alien meant no real harm, and in a way, it is rather intriguing in design rather than terrifying. And we don't care how bad the CGI is this time. That ship was awesome.

Trivia: -This film was also known as "The Beacon".

-Impressively, some sets such as the corn and underground hallways were made of mere paper and plastic.

And, as Spader would put it, he's winding up.

The world's most deadly ice scuplture.

Who could resist those eyes?
Just be glad this lightshow doesn't end in a Thing scenario.

That thing...it's so purple! PURPLE!

"Must...itch...nose..."
